One of my rules for taking photos is "nothing icky", which generally translates to "no dead things, no spiders, no snakes". In this case, though, there was a spider that caught a fly. Was not fast enough to get it actually wrapping up the fly, but I got some good ones shortly thereafter.
That third shot is brilliantly vivid, but I like the last one more - the gradient behind him, the detail of his green patch make it beautiful.
My first thought was that the zigzags in the web look like he's taken the time to tweet 'mmmmm' on capturing his prey. I have let the internet corrupt me.
