Oct. 15th, 2005 01:17 pmSo, there is this church near me. I'm sure there is a story behind it, but that part predates me. See, it takes up a large part of the block, going from the south side to the east side. However, there is a very small lot, in the shape of a triangle on the corner.
Since I have been here, the itty bitty building on the corner has been two bars and a coffee shop. Generally it looks run down, but not atrocious.
Recently though, someone bought it, made it bright yellow, and put enough lights on it that it glows in the dark. Every time I drive past it, it practically screams at me, with the huge sign, reading "Cash Loans on Car Titles".

Yes, they put the money lenders right next to the temple.
