Chinchilla

In looking at my stats, I see that my all time favorite photo on Flickr is still this chinchilla. It's in only two pools, neither of them very big. It's only had five people tag it as a "favorite". And yet, it has 3,221 views! In fact, I had a spike a few days ago when I got 93 hits on this photo in a SINGLE DAY.
In contrast, my second most popular photo (this axolotl) comes in at 861 views. What, is the Internet suddenly full of chinchilla fetishists?
(Digging deeper, I see it's the second hit on a yahoo image search for "chinchilla", but still, that's a lot of people looking for what are effectively overweight mice with urine retention problems.)
People on the Internet are weird.
