Winnipeg Folk Festival - Don Amero
Aug. 9th, 2009 12:56 pmIt's interesting how, the greater the number of people on stage, the harder it is to get good group photos but the easier it is to zoom in on details. Don Amero somehow managed to cram four people and a drum set onto the little stage on the prairie (which really is quite little). There were a lot of microphones and stands that got in the way though, so the few photos I got are over here.
Musically, he's good, but not great. (Others, of course, may have differing opinions.) I got his CD, and I've listened to it a few times, but it hasn't really stuck with me. I think I had more fun taking photos than I did listening to the music, but sometimes that's just how it is.
