Phoenix Botanical Garden - Bunnies
Apr. 4th, 2013 11:46 amContinuing the Phoenix Botanical Garden set, this time focused on bunnies. A couple photos before the jump...
One of the areas on the "OMG, people lived in the desert before white people moved in and dug wells!" trail is this area showing how native Americans used grinding stones to turn mesquite pods into flour. The kids dig into the big pot, take out some mesquite pods and grind them with the stones. This means, at the end of the day, there's a distributed pile of food that attracts the bunnies.

They're very used to humans and will scatter when quickly-moving bipeds come through, but generally let calm photographers get really close and even set up flashes. This means, of course, that there were a whole lot of bunny photos taken.
This is my favorite shot:

That's what happens when bunnies listen to light rock.
