Winnipeg Zoo - July 2013
Dec. 1st, 2013 03:00 pmIn July, as I usually do, I visited the Winnipeg Zoo. I wasn't there long, and the zoo was fairly torn up as they're turning it into a rescue center for the world's polar bears. Many of the native Canadians don't seem to think that's as cool as I do, but then, my friends aren't eaten by them, so I think it's an understandable attitude. Nonetheless, I'm glad they're moving forward with the project. Once it's done, I should have much more interesting (and bearier) photos. The set is here.
Here's my favorite:

Even though a lot of my photos turn out, I'm still not a master of depth of field. In this case, I nailed it, entirely accidentally. The entire head is in focus, not just the eye, but the background is pleasantly blurred.
