Comments and security
Apr. 23rd, 2014 05:17 pmLJ did something that is preventing me from posting comments. I suspect it's a conflict with one of my security settings.
So, no LJ for me for a while, I guess.
ETA LJ made a code change in how their commenting system works for free (and maybe paid) users. It breaks the HTTPS Everywhere extension. I can work around the issue by disabling that extension. However, this isn't good, because the code change involves a potential security flaw (I have no time to dig in and verify it). So I get to choose between losing control of my password and losing my community.
My community won out, but I hereby recommend that everyone make damn sure that their LJ password isn't used for any other sites ... particularly for email or banking.
