Sometimes it seems that things cluster up on you. I guess this shouldn't be much of a surprise. After all, shortly after the big bang, matter began to aggregate to form stars and (eventually) planets and such. Current theories of the origins of life involve organic matter clustering together and forming on clusters of inorganic substances so that increasing concentrations of complexity could form and grow.

So, when I got a new camera (d300) and new photo processing software (Bibble 5) at the same time and the resulting complexities were far greater than the combination would logically suggest, I should not have been surprised that it look so long to get to this.

However, the photos are loaded and (somewhat) processed... despite the brief unexpected instance of complexity that expressed sudden emergence within my batch of squash soup, within my blender, within (thankfully) my kitchen. (By the way, can anyone recommend a good brand of blender? (I'm out.)) They probably don't look as good my usual photos do. I am attempting to use the new camera and software to get better at lower light photography. As with most things, as I work on learning new things, my early efforts will certainly leave room for improvement (or, to say it more bluntly, they kinda suck. Sorry.)

Anyway, the set is here and lacks captions... but I don't much like captioning people anyway.
