Continuing my photo sets from flickr. Here is my next set. Back in November, I was asked to give a talk on "Linux in the Real World" to a group of college students. On my way there, we got an impressive snow storm (like, hard-to-drive impressive). As soon as I was done, I grabbed my camera and headed to the zoo to take pictures of the big cats romping in the snow.
Turns out they were too cold to romp, but I got a few shots anyway.
If you're interested in the whole thing, here is the set otherwise, continue below for highlights.

The tigers were kept inside! These are Siberian tigers, you'd think that they could handle a bit of cold. However, it was quite neat, as I was the only one at the zoo, and the tiger wanted to play with me. Right after this shot, we had a bit of an ET moment. -- Tiger paws do not glow.

Lynx

Doesn't this look like it would feel great?

Extreme closeup of the lion.

Rapunzil, Rapunzil, let down your... tongue?
