No idea which city this is. It’s east of L.A., but then again, many cities are.

Still, I think it’s a neat view.

Palm Springs?

Going by the airfield, my guess was Mojave. The empty squares look like the adjacent never much developed California City.

Google maps matches the photo with Palm Springs International Airport pretty well. There are several golf courses around it, and the green fairways show up bright in the infra-red.
