Dec. 3rd, 2007 10:36 amWhile in my hometown for Thanksgiving, my parents and I took a few hours and went to Wildlife Prairie Park. Of course, I took some photos while I was out there. Here is the set. Highlights follow. (Tomorrow you get cougars.)

Frozen fungus - I guess that fungi, being between woody and leafy are somewhat resistant to ice.

Tree - I like how it looks cold and foreboding.

Grey Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) - Sleepy foxy... with lots of teeth.

Grey Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) - He's chucking at a joke I told him. It went like this: 'So, a rabbit, fox and squirrel walk into a coffee shop. The barista says "tea?", and the rabbit says, "no thanks, I already have one".' It's not very funny, so I think he was just being polite.

Bobcat (Lynx rufus) - It would be bad to jump into the bobcat display and cuddle the kitties. . . right?

Bobcat (Lynx rufus) - They say that the spots on the bobcat help them to not be seen in the spotted sun. It seems ineffective to me.

Bobcat (Lynx rufus) - Cats have good balance. Well, most of them do.
