Minnesota Zoo - Water Things

Concluding my Minnesota Zoo set.




Asian Small-clawed Otter (Aonyx cinerea) - Ever wonder how otters keep warm when they're constantly swimming around? They keep a fire in their head.


Asian Small-clawed Otter (Aonyx cinerea) - The baby otters are growing up and becoming increasingly inquisitive.


Wood Turtle (Graptemys insculpta) - Wherever turtles go, they're at home.


Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta) - Zooooooom Tuuuuuuuurtleeeeeeee!


Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta) - Apparently the turtle in my car isn't the only one that vibrates. (It's a massage turtle, get your mind out of the gutter!)


Spiny Softshell (Apalone spinifera) - The spiny softshells tell more lies than most other turtles.


Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta) - I just think this looks cool.


Grey Treefrog (Hyla versicolor) - Yes, it's on a rock... it's still a tree frog.


American Toad (Bufo americanus) - I'm getting better at this off-camera flash thing.


Asian Small-clawed Otter (Aonyx cinerea) - "I can has a hug?"

also, can I be a massage turtle when I grow up? at least some of the time? :)

Sure, if you want to be... not sure where you'd put the batteries though. (Berber has a compartment in his tummy for batteries.)

I have a small spiked pineapple massager in my desk for my hands and people have the wrong idea about that, too!
