Farmers Markets in Minneapolis

As some of you know, Lifehacker just linked a wonderful site that lists farmers' markets all over the US. As I seem to be buying a lot of fresh vegetables in Minneapolis these days, I built a list of markets in the area, sorted by day. The theory is that this will make it easier for me to find high quality (hopefully organically-grown) produce from local merchants... based on the times when I am in the area. Now I can carry the list on my PDA, and refer to it when I need to get anything. I'm sharing it here in case anyone else on my FL finds it useful.

For MPLS, also not that organic produce is available into the evenings at the MidTown Global Market (Lake St. and Chicago Ave.) as well as at the co-ops, of course.

Lunds, Rainbow, Cub, Kowalski's, and then there's Whole Foods... I've heard you can find organic there too.

My (limited) experience has been that I can get similar quality food for a LOT less at the markets than in a grocery or a co-op. Is this incorrect?

I haven't been to our farmer's market in Manassas in a couple years (but they just moved it to a spot where there's parking next to it, so I plan to go again) but in the years I went, it was iffy. Sometimes things would be better and cheaper at the market and sometimes things would be better and cheaper at the grocery. It depended a lot on how well the grocery worked directly with farmers, and how picky the farmers in the market were about what they brought.

Price wasn't the criteria above, so I wasn't thinking of it. I don't actually know how much cheaper things are at the Farmer's Market(s). It's going to depend on the seller and the produce.
