When you are at a good zoo, you wind up seeing interesting things that are not constructed. This is a post of pictures of plants and animals that I saw at the Phoenix Zoo, that were not technically part of an exhibit.

Another subset from my first visit to the Phoenix Zoo. This one is all apes and monkeys.

This zoo has two types of baboons, a platform for orangutans, but most importantly, has a large enclosure with spider monkeys. Oh, by the way, they encourage you to get inside the enclosure with the spider monkeys, so you can see them scamper all around, and sometimes climb you.

They insist that you wash your hands afterward.
