Minicon Music - A Report in Pictures
Apr. 11th, 2010 07:25 pmLast weekend, I went to a Minicon. They claim that there have been 45ish of these conventions (There seems to have been a counting difficulty at some point in the past), but I think that I've personally only been to 7ish of them. (I also appear to have a counting difficulty.) However, of those seven or so, I've never had a bad one... which makes it the hands-down bestest of all the conventions I've ever been to.
While I had a great time, had some great conversations (the ones with conventioneers outside of the actual convention seem to work better for me), I mostly remember the music. Since it obviously makes sense to record the music and share it as either .mp3 files or some sort of video, I took photos instead. They're all here. (Sorry, there are (mostly) no snide/snarky comments on my people sets, as unlike zoo animals, people are likely to give me a wallop should I get the humor wrong.) Also, it was really quite dark, so most of these are at high ISO (grainy) and converted to black and white. Despite the appearance of this photoset, the convention did not take place in the 1930s... so far as I know.
( Performers performing (but not music circle) )
