Froggies Froggies Froggies!
Jun. 6th, 2010 08:39 pmI hereby declare June to be the month of the frog. I am kicking things off with these photos of American frogs.
A few weeks, I was walking around and heard this amazing noise. There was a little spot near a lake where there seemed to be a little overflow pond. All along the berm separating this pond from the lake came an amazing chorus of frogs. It was incredible. At one point, I was talking to my mother and she couldn't hear me due to the ambient noise of frogs. I have never in my life heard so many frogs.
What was more amazing is that I was clearly hearing about a hundred frogs and I couldn't see a single one. Turns out that American frogs blend right in to the mud. It takes a focusing flashlight to see them, and several flashes to take good photos of them. Lucky for all of you, I had them.
The set is here (warning, contains a few images of cold clammy hardcore frog sex).
