When I go to the Winnipeg Folk Festival every year, I bring my camera and practice. I normally don't shoot people, but WFF gives good opportunity to get shots I otherwise would not have. Sadly, in recent years, I've been a bit shier about taking photos than I'd like. I've been told that it apparently makes some people uncomfortable. While I don't want to do make anyone uncomfortable, I don't seem able to get one of those magic "Press" badges that puts people at ease. I try to find the balance of getting good photos and not being creepy. Wish there were a better way to put people at ease.
The set is here, and contains a lot of people most of you do not know and a few people that you do. I will be posting my favorite and some highlights as to why I like them. There is a mix of good moments, good shots of friends and art.
This is my favorite:

I like this because it captures both the joy and seriousness of being a little kid.
