RAD Zoo - June 2011
Nov. 12th, 2012 02:02 pmThis was, I think, the trip home after I had an interview for the job I have now, went to Winnipeg for the Folk Festival and, along the way, visited the Winnipeg Zoo once and the Fargo Zoo three times. I was exhausted and couldn't manage the four hour drive home in a single shot. So, I stopped at the The RAD Zoo.
The RAD Zoo isn't RADical, except in so much as putting a zoo in Owatonna, MN is a somewhat non-standard idea. No, RAD stands for Reptile and Amphibian Discovery... though they don't seem to do much discovery there. I mean, almost everything is labeled. Still, it's a good place to go if it's really freaking cold and you want to look at warm critters for a while or, as in this case, you need to stop the car for a while.
Due to exhaustion, I didn't go for anything special and I didn't stay long. The set isn't great, but it's here.
Here's my favorite:

I mean, she just looked so cuddly.
