Minnesota Zoo - Tamarins and Birds
Apr. 15th, 2009 03:04 pmBack in February, I went to the Minnesota Zoo and played with my new lenses. These shots aren't as good as I would like, largely as I was somewhat unfamiliar with the lenses and the light wasn't all that great. They are, however, of fuzzy animals, so that's a plus.
The set is here.

Cotton-Top Tamarin (Saguinus oedipus) - "Mmmm, cheese"

Cotton-Top Tamarin (Saguinus oedipus) - "To brie, or not to brie, that is the question."

Golden Lion Tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia) - The new lens is hard to use, but I get better shots of these guys than ever before.

Bird - I think that this would make a good icon for someone.

Grosbeak Starling (Scissirostrum dubium) - "Shutup! We're being watched!"

Nicobar Pigeon (Caloenas nicobarica) - He may have a tempting offer for you, but remember, any agreement which must be signed in blood should be considered most carefully.

Black-naped Oriole (Oriolus chinensis) - Relativistic orioles are particularly difficult to photograph.

Pineapple - When they think no one is looking, pineapples will extend their heads and look around for predatory Dole trucks.

The oriole shot is a wonderful, frantic thing... I love how the 'blurred' wing-tips are practically clear imprints. I would give
my right arman appropriate rental sum for a day with your camera.no subject
