Tacoma Zoo - Finish
Jun. 2nd, 2009 11:47 amRemember weeks and weeks ago when I started posting photos from the Tacoma zoo? Then we all got distracted by otters? Then we got distracted by different otters?
Well, now we're going to finish the set highlights (which means that I better get captioning my other sets I can upload and share those, I guess).

Walrus (Odobenus rosmarus) - "I must say, I dislike the constant depiction of us as bukkit-obsessed behemoths. Fact is, the majority of us are quite capable of emotionally handling ourselves whether or not we lack a container."

Walrus (Odobenus rosmarus) - One hour later, the parents reported their child as missing.

Tufted Puffin (Fratercula cirrhata) - You just don't get that nice refraction effect without practice.

Tufted Puffin (Fratercula cirrhata) - Yeah. Timing.

Tufted Puffin (Fratercula cirrhata) - If I had a beak, I'd want it to glow too.

Tufted Puffin (Fratercula cirrhata) - She swam into my office and I knew things were about to get interesting. There was a scent about her. Was it trouble? Was it herring? I knew there was only one way to find out. I took the case.

Meerkat (Suricata suricata) - "One of these days I shall soar upon the wings of eagles. Step 1: get an eagle to come down here."

Meerkat (Suricata suricata) - And then Mother Nature said "Oh shoot, I have all these leftover whiskers"...

Jellyfish - "Wheeeee!"

Mountain - Dark and foreboding. Forebode, dammit!
