Brookfield Zoo
Sep. 21st, 2009 12:00 pmThe set of photos I took at the Brookfield Zoo is here. I'm a little out of the habit on the captioning (and still getting used to the new workflow), but the first set of highlights is below:

Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis) - Some rhinos have skin conditions... OK, most rhinos.

Caracal (Caracal caracal) - Kitty loves his blankie.

Caracal (Caracal caracal) - Hmm, escape sounds like a lot of work.

Chinese Newt (Tylototriton shanjing) - She glows red, so that Santa can navigate the dense fog that occurs in the marshy regions.

Common Dwarf Mongoose (Helogale parvula) - Fluffy animals need fluffy nests.

Common Dwarf Mongoose (Helogale parvula) - Never in my life did I think that I would get a photo of a dwarf mongoose tongue.

Common Seal (Phoca vitulina) - Like icebergs, 90% of the seal is below water.

Common Seal (Phoca vitulina) - "Never tell anybody outside the family what you're thinking again."

Common Seal (Phoca vitulina) - Having a grate day.

Common Seal (Phoca vitulina) - Yes, as a matter of fact, they ARE carnivores.
