Hartmann's Mountain Zebra (Equus zebra hartmannae) - The wikipedia article starts out: "Zebras are African equids best known for their distinctive white and black stripes.", 'cause yeah, when I see one, I think "African equid" instead of "stripey horsie". (If only there were a way that I could adjust the article.)

Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) - I like the reflections here.

Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) - I really like the focus on the feet here.

Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta) - And you thought painting D&D miniatures was hard.

Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) - Grabbing food on the go

Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) - Their waddles glow so they can find food in the dark.

But whatever, these are great photos! The body of the wild turkey is quite interesting. Doesn't look like feathers.

Date: 2009-11-02 03:06 am (UTC)There is a chapter head later that makes me cry. But mostly it is hilarious. Glad it made it to the top of the list.
