Costa Rica Froggies

guppiecatWhat do you know? I'm finally posting the photos that I took in Costa Rica.
This set (contains bugs!) is all of the photos I took when doing a night hike the first night there. Focus was really hard. As you can tell from my recently-posted splody frog post, I've gotten better. In general, Costa Rica taught raised my skill level a lot. Many of these shots look poor to me, compared to what I've been doing in recent months... but life is about learning, so I'm just going with it.
The night hike was neat. Since everyone elsewussed out went to bed, it was just me, the two guides, and a lot of flashlights. It was very buggy, a little bit rainy, but oh so cool. It was interesting just how big things were there.
Froggies like bromeliads... a lot.
Froggies crawl into the bromiliads and lay eggs, which eventually turn into tadpoles.
Froggies feel safe in the bromiliads, until insensitive photographers wander by and start shining lights on them.
Froggies also like lemon meringue pie, though they are quite rare in Costa Rican bromiliads.
This froggie's tadpoles are safe in the bromiliad, 'cause the froggie is there to protect them.
They say that frogs like to sing, but try as I might, they refused to learn any songs by Aqua. I think that they might just have poor taste in music. (Or maybe they don't actually belong to the sea.)
Sartre had to get reincarnated as something, right?
I like the reflections here, though they aren't definite.
She looks menacing, but she really just wants to pinch your cheek and offer you another slice of baklava.
Oh, and you're supposed to kiss her cheek when you're ready for bed.
I wonder what the nose lines do for them. It's not like it's likely to confuse a predator. "I want to eat a froggie, but that one's cracked!" I mean, really!
