Costa Rica - Puma Rescue Center

I am going to gush about the Puma Rescue Center at a future date. For now, know that we went and I took pictures. There was an important reason. This set of pictures, though, is unrelated to the important reason. For now, just know that they rescue pumas and other cats. They don't have much money, but they seem to do a good job with what they have.




Spotted cats aren't as cool as stripey cats, but they're pretty cool nonetheless.


Birds need napkins.


I bet he'd watch the bird. You know, if the bird wanted.


I was politely request to remove myself from the lawn.


It's so cool that they rescue bunnies too!


(Yes, until a fellow vacationer made a certain horrible comment, I honestly believed that they were also involved in bunny rescue.)

Oops.:) I have to say that it was the first thing that occurred to me, but those bunnies are so cute!

I thought it probably wasn't right but I wasn't going to tell you otherwise. It seemed very unlikely they rescued both of those kinds of animals.

The bunnies are still cute. Circle of life and all that rot.

Mice, like bunnies, are very cute until suddenly you have *seventy* of the little motherfuckers, and you see that they've been cannibalizing their dead while you ran out for MOAR FUD. At that point, you are rather pleased to see the snake eat.

As cute as bunnies are, I'm fairly sure that at some point a manageable number of bunnies is preferable to starvling cats.
