guppiecatA few weeks ago, I went with a friend to the Minnesota Zoo. The goal was not to take photos but, of course, I had my camera with me. These photos might not have that obsessive perfectionistic quality that my photos get when I'm alone, but I'm pretty pleased with some of them. The set is here.
Seeing a world in a grain of sand, holding infinity in the palm of a hand.
(Actually, upon re-reading the poem, I am tempted to illustrate the entire thing. It'd take an eternity, but I think I have an hour to spare.)
How to turn a lizard into a snake: Put their right arm in, take it out, put it in, shake it off. Repeat, but stop before the fifth verse.
I'm fine with the fact that birds can fly and all, but I wish they didn't lord it over us like that.
Look! It's a [insert political group of your choice here]!
And lo! When cast upon the waves, there came forth a lovely goddess. Born of the sea and the foam, striding towards the land, all that saw her were struck by her beauty and were resolved to open their hearts to love. Later, when raised to the pantheon, she became the Goddess of Love itself, but now, in the first minutes of creation, she was content to do naught to inspire and be, in turn, inspired.
Isn't it nice when folks can share?
