Continuing my photo sets from flickr.
Here is my next set. Back in December, I decided to make a zoo trip a monthly thing. This was the first time I dedicated most of a day to going to the zoo. Given that it was winter, I mostly focused on the inside stuff.
If you're interested in the whole thing, here is the set otherwise, continue below for highlights.
(Do you folks like me doing this, or all of you on flickr anyway?)

Gecko - Ah, what a different a tripod makes.

Ducks fencing - engarde!

Gouldian Finch

I find it amusing that the zoo has the slothes -- one of the easiest animals to shoot in the same cage as those other critters which are the hardest to shoot. I swear, I spend several minutes lining up the shot, and as soon as I put the shutter, the little buggers move on me. I think that high pitched noise they make is their version of giggling.

Frog - I think that this one is a leopard frog.
Why is it that leopard frogs don't look like leopards and tiger salamanders don't look like tigers?

Otter - New otters! I couldn't get a good shot, but there were two new otters in with the old one. The other one than this keep jumping on the old guy trying to get him to come join the fun.

Snow Leopard - He's stalking me

Wobbly - I like how you can almost see the eye clearly here.

We'd love to have you join us if you happen to be free and interested. I had trouble signing up on line last night - but I emailed and someone got back to me today.
