Jan. 30th, 2007 07:24 pmContinuing my photo sets from flickr.
This is technically a subset of the previous set. Basically, while I was at the Des Moines Zoo taking photos, I wandered by the prairie dog enclosure. Now, on a normal day, you'd expect to see, I don't know, maybe prairie dogs?
Well, if you guessed "prairie dogs", you guessed right. However, if you guessed "ducks", you'd also be right!
While this set is on flickr here, and I know some of you have already seen it, it is also available in one shot below.

Imagine my surprise when I wandered by the prairie dogs and saw this.

The prairie dogs seemed surprised too.

This duck is so confused he thinks that he *is* a prairie dog!

This means war!

Ducks are apparently scarier than prairie dogs.

At this point, the duck starts hissing.

This scares the prairie dog away.

He gets somewhat braver, later the duck just flies away.
