Thinking about anatomy, I suspect that that's limited to only quadrupeds and, even then, probably only to carnivores. I've never seen cows do it, for example ... or bunnies, pigs, etc.
Wonder if it's a side effect of how predators need supple necks to chase and grab prey as they turn.
