More from my trip to Omaha (set)

Four-Striped Grass Mouse - Mice like to hide.

Marmot - So, I was hearing a bird call, and I looked all over, and eventually tracked it to this little guy. Very strange critters, wish I knew what they were.

Ratel Honey Badger - Honey badgers move quite quickly.

Ratel Honey Badger - Here, I used flash to freeze his motion. They're strange looking guys, aren't they?

Monkeys - (from left to right) Seeing No Evil, Pondering No Evil, Considering Some Evil, Look A Squirrel!

California Sea Lion

California Sea Lion - In Nebraska, fish fall from the sky.

Elephant - This was cool. The elephant tried to pick up the stick with his trunk, but it was too slippery, so he put his foot on it, and then levered it up with his trunk.

Gorilla - Rodin's model

Sun Bear - "Ground Control to Major Tom..."

Black Tufted-Eared Marmoset - At this zoo, they hold still for photos.

African Hunting Dog - "My stick. Go 'way"

Quite the Artistry
Date: 2007-05-15 04:22 am (UTC)I remember watching that guy go in and out of his cage over and over and over - he would loop around and around, so quickly. The first time you tried to catch him on camera, it...well, it didn't look like this. So precise - almost like stop-action animation. As for his name, though...I thought only the sun bears liked honey?! :)
