Henry Doorly Zoo - Parrots, Budgies, Monkey, Prairie Dog

Continuing highlights from my recent zoo set.




Parrot - Unsure what type of parrot this is, but it certainly seems to know good lighting.


Blue-and-yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna) - Check out the eyelash things


Military Macaw (Ara militaris) - General Chirpy is planning an invasion of the next branch. It requires careful deliberation.


Spider Monkey (Ateles ?) - A trip to the zoo isn't nearly as exciting when you live there.


Black-tailed Prairie Dog (Cynomys ludovicianus) - They escaped years ago. This is in the park near the zoo, and half a mile away from their enclosure.


Baby Peafowl - Proud as a peacock... practicing.


Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) - "I has a home."


Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) - "I likes my home."


Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) - "Go 'way, is MY home."


Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) - "Dammit! No solicitors!"
