I am also going to go with the assumption that your grandparents had hummingbird feeders, and not my initial thought that they were hummingbirds themselves.
Wow, I am beyond impressed with 3, 4 & 5 in this post... absolutely beautiful. Okay, hummingbirds are great subjects in that respect, but very sparkly shots nevertheless (hey, if you have a file or subset of photos you're particularly pleased with, from various shoots, anywhere, please to be posting a link sometime!)
Thanks, I've seen many of these, but lots more are new to me and I had a thoroughly delightful browse and saw the Amur leopard tongue again. Fantastic collection!
